An economical sign program was needed for a mixed-use redevelopment project located along the Quinebaug River in the town of Southbridge, Massachusetts. 150 acres of research and industrial facilities needed to be visually connected by a common theme, visitors needed help navigating a confusing network of roads within the campus, and the signage system needed to change the public perception from an abandoned mill site to an emerging business center. All this needed to be achieved within a limited budget.

To achieve the goals of the project we featured a circular leaf medallion with a striking mix of traditional and contemporary typestyles and a splash of fall colors. The medallions, constructed from porcelain enameled steel, provided a durable recognizable symbol that, coupled with vehicular drive-up directories and bold building identifiers,  help visitors find their way while setting a positive first impression.
