Witness to Life 2022

The Boston Catholic Schools office needed an identity for its January Witness to Life rally. The theme they had chosen was an excerpt from an address to Catholics by Pope Saint John Paul II on September 19, 1987 in the Detroit airport: “If you want equal justice for all, and true freedom and lasting peace then, America, defend life from conception until natural death!”

TopDog chose to stylize the image of Lady Liberty as a symbol of American freedom, and add traditional type with generous spacing to appear flag-like. The phrase was then shortened to “True Freedom Lasting Peace” for the motto, but printed in its entirety on the back of the hoodies worn during the rally.
